Creative Dimension Software Ltd create 3D web pages for Audilux

Guildford UK, Febuary 21 2005.

microlux hearing aid

Creative Dimension Software Ltd have completed a modelling project for Audilux in the Netherlands to help communicate the shape and size of the 'Microlux', the smallest hearing aid in the world.

The hearing aid, just 13mm tall, and its protective sleeve were modelled separately by Creative Dimension Software Ltd and the models combined into an interactive 3D presentation integrated into their website.

The final pages can be viewed from http://www.audilux.com by clicking the red "New 3D Model!" link. Further information about Audilux, the only independent Dutch hearing aid manufacturer that develops its own products can also be found there.

with sleeve

Audilux wanted to let their customers get a real feel for this unique product. Using 3DSOM Pro technology the hearing aid was scanned - the small size of the object presenting no problems. A separate model was built in the same way but with the transparent sleeve placed over the hearing aid. An animated sequence links the two models together in an interactive 3D presentation.

ruler function

In order to communicate the small size of the object a "ruler" button was created. When users click this button the 3D viewer zooms out from the model to show the size of the hearing aid relative to a ruler and a matchstick. The user can click again to zoom back to a closeup of the object which can be rotated, dragged and zoomed in the usual way.
